Manfrotto 785Bback to Reviews

The Manfrotto 785B fits great under my Micro Trekker 200 due to it's great collapsed legnth of 17". I am well over the 2.2lbs limit with my D80 and grip yet it has suprisingly not failed me although in the vertical position with a D80, Grip and SB-600 flash is a bit much. I always make sure I give the thumb lock a little extra push. There are three leg angles, normal, mid and spider. With the spider angle selected you can almost lay it on the ground. The plate is dovetailed and very secure. They have included a plate screw driver neatly tucked away in the center lift tube. With the legs pulled together and the center lift tube extended you can make it a 60" monopod. Over all this is a great tripod. If the tubes and locking head were beefed up a bit this could easly be my only tripod.
